Wierch Poroniec - Rusinowa Polana - Gesia Szyja - Wodogrzmoty - Stara Roztoka

Walking time: about 4 h

To Wierch Poroniec we can get by bus which is going to Lysa Polana. From bus station we go several meters south and behind the signs we turn to the forest. We overcome ridge of Goly Wierch and achieve Rusinowa Polana. It is Worth going here to the ridge of Gesia Szyja. To get there we have to go green route. First through the upper part of glade, and then through the grass clearing. Rusinowa Polana is extensive and belongs to Jaworzyna Rusinowa, which is situated from Gesia Szyja to Goly Wierch.

A little bit north there is a chapel of the Mother of God ( near blue route). It is being visited for many tourists. From the chapel we come back to Rusinowa Polana. This route leads farther behind blue and black signs. We reach Polana pod Woloszynem. We follow its east edge abd come to the forest again. Here it joins with red route which leads from Toporowa Cyrhla through Polana Waksmundzka to Roztoka and Morskie Oko. We go through the forest, passing big, round craters ( diameter about 20 m).

Wodogrzmoty Mickiewicza are made from three cascades. Potok Roztok is coming from Piec Stawow Polskich and falls down here to the valley of Bialka river . Above our head there is a precipice of Turnia nad Szczotami, in Woloszyw massif. From parking place there is a path to Stara Roztoka.

The green route from the shelter leads from Dolina Roztoki to Dolina Pieciu Stawow Polskich, and the red route leads to Morskie Oko. On the square near Wodogrzmoty was a bus stop. Nowadays it is recommended to go to Palenica Bialczanska or Lysa Polana bus stop.

Kuznice - Kasprowy Wierch (cable railway) - Dolina Stawow Gasienicowych - Karb - Czarny Staw Gasienicowy - Murowaniec - Skupniow Uplaz - Kuznice - Rondo

Walking time: about 5,5 h.

To Kuznice we come by bus or city bus. From the bus station we go to stony stairs which lead to cable railway station. The first part leads to Dolina Bystra. Near the third support we pass a railway wagon which is going down. We start covering 1 km long distance . 1352 m a.s.l. we achieve Myslenickie Turnie and transfer to the wagon of second part. Under our feet we can observe Dolina Sucha Kasprowa. Then our wagon towers above Kasprowy Wierch. We pass a Palec crag and approach to upper station.

From the terrace we can admire a view of Dolina Gasienicowa and its surrounding and the view of the Krywan top. To Sucha Przelecz we go through the pavement ( from the terrace near the station). There we have to turn left and go downhill. We can observe Kociol Kasprowy, which is the upper floor of Dolina Gasienicowa. We also pass ruins of ?wild? shelter. When we come to water intake, the yellow route joins with the green one. After some kilometres we come across to crossing with black route.

The route leads almost horizontally among high grass and clusters. On the left we pass three small tarns ? Troisniak, then bigger Litworowy Staw, in other words Sabkowy. From the lakeside we go to Przelecz Swidnicka, where branches a route to Karb pass. Behind blue signs we turn left. On the left side we pass another tarn ? Kurtkowiec, (with an Island in the middle), and two more- Czerwone Stawki. This route leads to Karb.

From passes the black route leads to the top of Wielki Koscielec. The green route leads to Maly Koscielec, and then leads steeply down. Koscielec and Granaty walls and Kozi Wierch are very popular places to climb. Through the tops and passes there are some high-mountain router, for example: the road through Zawrat to Dolina Pieciu Stawow Poslkich and Morskie Oko, or Orla Perc.

From Czarny Staw we go downhill through the blue route, and then we go through the stony path to Maly Koscielec. When we pass a bed of Sucha Woda we have to turn right and go to Murowaniec. From the shelter, we have to surround it from south and west, we go through Stawianskie and Krolowe Rowienki to Krolowa Rowien. On the left side we pass ?Betlejemka?- headquarters of Polish Union of Alpinism. Then we go uphill to Krolowa Rowni. Next we go to Karczmisk. It separates Wielka Kopa Krolowej from Mala Kopa Krolowej. From this place starts the yellow route to Kuznice through Jaworzynka.

Behind signs we go right, through Wielkie Kopy Krolowej to the small resort called Diabelek. From this place we can go through Skupinowy Uplaz to Boczan. We can admire here a beautiful view of Giewont and Kalatowka. Then we go to the forest, which overgrows slopes of Nieborak. We lose our height fast and come to Kuznice.

When we pass a bridge on the Bystra stream we have to turn right to the gateway which leads to sanatorium. We go out onto Przewodnikow Tatrzanskich avenue and come cross to the Murowanicy building. On the left side of the road we pass rest camp ? Ksiezowka?. When we get to the roundabout, we can back to the centre of Zakopane.

Gronik - Dolina Malej Laki - Wielka Polana - Przysłop Mietusi - Dolina Koscieliska - Hala Pisana - Hala Ornak - Kiry

Walking time: about 3,5 h.

We start in Gronik. From the bus station we go to the road to Zakopane and after 300 m we turn right to Dolina Malej Laki. When we pass the forester`s cottage we will come across to the old, closed quarry. On the left side there is Droga pod Reglami . We go deep into valley. Our path passes a stream, forest and glade. We finally get at branching.

This route is marked with a blue colour. We have to turn right here to Przyslup Mietusi. To the left side will lead us the yellow signs. We go uphill quite steeply and come to Wielka Polana. When we leave Wielka Polana we should follow black signs ( we go to the west). We go for a moment and come in the forest. We pass a small hunting cottage, go steeply downhill to come steeply too uphill to Przylum Mietusi. We come back to Hala pod Przyslopem. When we go down we can admire the panorama of Dolina Koscieliska. We go downhill through the forest to the bottom of Dolina Mietusia. This path leads us to Zahradziska glade, where we can find red signs to Ciemniak. This path leads to the road to Dolina Koscieliska. We stay at right side and then turn left and go to Cudakowa Polana. This road leads out to Stare Koscieliska. From the south side of Stare Koscieliska ( right side) there is a blue signed path Karlowicza na Stoly and ( left side) a black signed path to Jaskinia Mrozna. We leave Hala Pisana. The road leads to bottleneck called Brama Koscieliska Wyznia. Behind the second bridge there is a road to Krakow ravine. When we pass it, on the left side we can see a famous Skala Pisana, at the foot of which is an opening of Jaskinia Wodna nad Pisana. Here the paths lead out. To Jaskinia Raptowicka leads a black path. We have to go steeply uphill and then we climb ( using a chain). To go downhill we have to use a ladder. When we visit Jaskinia Raptowicka we have to come back to path branching in Oblazki. Here, following the red signs, we go about 40 m long to the opening of Jama Oblazkowa. Then we go to Jaskinia Mylna. We come back the same path. We come to Mala Polanka Ornaczanska, where is a shelter. From in front of the shelter we can observe a view of Bystra, Kamienista, Smreczynski Wierch on the left and Ornak on the right. We come to Kiry. We come to Hala Pisana. We come to bottleneck of valley. This is Posrednia Koscieliska Brama called also Brama Kraszewskiego.

Through Stare Koscieliska i Cudakowa Polanę we come to path called Wyznia Kira Mietusia. We cover this distance and come to Koscieliska Brama Nizna, that is Brama Kantaka. Through the road we come to the forester`s lodge and we leave the land through the gate of Tatras National Park. We are near Kiry. When we turn left we will get to bus station.

Chocholow - Ostrysz - Butorowy Wierch - Gubałowka - Harenda

Walking time: about 5,5 h.

We can get to Chocholow by city bus. From Zakopane there are many buses coming to Czarny Dunajec, near our destination. We leave Zakopane from Koscieliska street, and come to Dolina Koscieliska. When we pass Koscieliska- Kiry hamlet and forest we come to Bialy Potok glade with a view of south and west. We come to cross-roads. This road leads to Dolina Chocholowska. Siwa Woda and Kirowa Woda form Czarny Dunajec.

We pass a bridge on Czarny Dunajec and now we are in a built-up area. Vis-a-vis a bus station ?Chocholow I? there is a road to Sucha Gora. We get off the bus near a church. This is a beginning of route called Powstania Chocholowskiego. We go east to Ciche, to the new cemetery, where we can find an old crosses.

We go along the fence of cemetery and near the end we turn right. We go through the fields to the top of Cyrhlica. We pass it on the right side. The road becomes indistinct and it is easy to get lost. In the valley, on the left side, we can see buildings of Ciche. We go downhill to Ostrysz. This path is indistinct too. We go steeply uphill to Ostrysz. From Ostrysz we go downhill to the Zawierch hill. We go between spruces. On the right side we can see forests of Palenica Koscieliska and Buforowy Wierch.

Opposite to our eyes we can see Gubalowka with television broadcasting tower. Soon we will stand on the Gruszkowski Wierch hill. On the left side of Giewony and Kasprowy Wierch we can admire a ridge of Dolina Gasienicowa and Dolina Panszczyzny. Farther we can see Lodowy Szczyt and Tatry Bielskie. We pass an old shrine. We go to the forest and come to the road to Gubalowka.

The road to the right side leads to the upper chairlift station in Butorowy Wierch. We still follow red signs of the route. When we come to railway station on Gubalowka, following yellow and red signs we pass a an iron cross on the right side. After few minutes we go downhill to the television broadcasting station.

The asphalt road between fences turns left. It leads through the forest. When we leave a forest we go to crossing with the road to Zab. This road leads to Muruszyna. Here we go to east side. We go to horizontal top with some buildings of Rafaczowki. We go to the forest and come to the place where the yellow route turns right to south.

Steeply , through the forest we go to the valley of Zakopianka. We pass a camp ?Na Ustupie?. Going right we come across the church in Harenda. Near the church there is a wooden house, near which the route leads. We pass it and go down to Zakopianka.

We go to the road through the footbridge. From this place yellow signs leads to Antalowka. When we turn left we come to the stop ? Na Ustupie? We can come back to Zakopane.

Dom Turysty ? Orkana street - Kasprusie street- Strazyska street - Dolina Strazyska - Czerwona Przelecz - Przelecz Bialego - Kalatowki - Kuznice

Walking time: about 5 h.

From House of Tourist we go right. We pass villa ?Limba?. We come to Orkan street and bridge on Mlynisk stream. On the right side there is a villa ?Atma?. We go left Kasprusie street. On the left side we pass ?Czerwony Dwor? and go ahead passing Lipki housing estate. Near the corner we can see new buildings, crossing and we come to the exit of Dolina Strazynska.

We go, following red signs, to the Mlynisk glade, where we can find a forester`s lodge. We will pass a rock with an iron board and medallion with bust of Edward Jelinek. Quite steepy part of path will lead us to Polana Strazyska.

An impressive wall of Giewont rises up about 800 m above. Many people died there. We can find here an old shelter where is a snack-bar here. A boulder near it is called Sphinx.

From the lower part of path leads a black route to Sciezka nad Reglami and with this one also leads a red one to Giewont. After a short brake we can go to the upper part of path and come across to Siklawica waterfall. The path inside the valley is closed so we can come back ro Polana Strazyska. Then we can go to Sciezka nad Reglami and Czerwona Przelecz.

We can go to Czerwona Przelecz to see the panorama. Next we will go Dolina Bielago ( following the black signs) and Przelecz Bialego, called also Przelecz na Patykach.

For a moment we go on Uplaz Kalacki ridge and then we go downhill to Kalatowki. Before we turn left it is worth looking at an extensive glade. To Kuznice we are going through the wide, paved with granite boulders road. Through the stony road we go to bus stop in Kuznice, and come back to Zakopane.

Dom Turysty - Krupowki street- Zamoyskiego street - Bulwary Słowackiego - Broniewskiego street- Droga na Antalowkę - Koziniec -Droga na Bystre - Rondo - skocznie - Dolina Bialego - Grunwaldzka street - plac Niepodległosci - Krupowki street - Dom Turysty

Walking time : about 4.5 h.

We start walking on Krupowki, visiting this time its upper part. From Dom Turysty on Zaruski street we come to the crossing with Krupowki and turn right this time. When we pass the crossing with Gen. Galicy street we are coming to the tenement house on the left side. On the ground floor there is a restaurant ?Europejska?. Opposite we can see Morskie Oko hotel. We come to the crossing with Staszica street and Pilsudskiego street. We pass the crossing with Witkiewicza street, St Peter`s church. Opposite we can see a ?Goplana? house with interesting ornaments. We come to Tytus Chalubinski monument. Near the monument we turn left and go through the path to the stream.

We come to the bridge on Bystra stream and go down Slowacki boulevards. We pass some villas and in front of ?Bristol? we turn right. We come to the foot of Antalowka, where we can admire a view of Koziniec. On the left side we pass villa ?Lanca? and come to the crossing Broniewskiego street and Droga na Antalowke. The route of our trip turns right but we encourage you to go to the opposite direction. After few minutes we will get to Witkiewiczowka. Behind ?Smiglo? it is possible to get to the hill of Antalowka. It is the way to shorten the trip. We can go ahead through Antalowka following a yellow route. We can go to villa ?Wichora?, and than to Harenda. We come back to the crossing and go to Droga na Antalowke to Kozienice. We come to Kozienice and we are near the ?Dom pod Jedlami? house. Near Pawlikowscy villa there is a small ?Domek pod Jasieniami? house. Few minutes later we are coming to the crossing, where we can admire a view of Dolina Bystra with Kasprowy Wierch. We turn left, cross the Droga na Olcze street , pass ?Imperial? hotel and come to children`s sanatorium, called ?Kabeka?.

Opposite we can see a Nosal slope. We come to ?Na Bystrem? crossing. Now we go west, to ski slopes. We come to the , where the roundabout where the road to Morskie Oko crosses with road to Kuznice. We go Bronislawa Czecha street. We pass the entrance to Centralny Osrodek Sportu with ?Sport- Zakopane? hotel. We come to ski slopes. From the slopes we can come back to the city Pilsudskiego street. Our route leads farther to Droga pod Reglami. This road goes through the bottom of the valley, among Bialy stream. When we leave the valley we go to the forest. We pass rest houses- ?Pan Tadeusz?, ?Telimena? and ?Bialy Potok?. We come to Do Bialego street and go to the crossing with Andrzeja Struga street, where is a chapel ?Czernichowianka?

Few minutes later there is another crossing with Kornela Makuszynskiego street. On the left side there is a ?Ornak? villa. On the right side we pass ?Oaza? and we are on the crossing with Tetmajera street. Here we can find ?Opolanka? villa. Going Grunwaldzka street we pass on the left ?Boryna? villa. After a while we turn right and go to the alley of Park Miejski. It leads to Grunwald monument. Going through the Park we pass on the left side ?Jutrzenka? and on the left side a building of baths.

We go through the bridge, turn left and go to the Independence Square ( Plac Niepodleglosci). We go to Krupowki and by this ( well known) route we come back to the House of Tourist ( Dom Turysty).

We begin our trip in House of Tourist ( Dom Turysty) on Zaruskiego street. On the left side we pass the monument of Rescuers. We go to Krupowki. We pass ?Gazda? hotel. Opposite there is another ?Orbis- Giewont? hotel. We turn left to the lower part of Krupowki. Then we cross Zborowskiego street. On the left side we go through ?Na Foluszowym Potoku? bridge which leads us to Tatras Museum. Behind the museum there is an alpine garden. Going through the stony stairs we come back to Krupowki. Near the church, round the corner of Krupowki and Nowatorska street there is ?Pod Giewontem? hotel. We pass the crossing and go through the bridge and come to railway station to Gubalowka. We can go up and see Tatras. From the platform we go to the terrace where we can admire Tatras and Kotlina Zakopianska. The route of the trip leads to the west.

A red sign leads to Chocholow, black to Witow and blue to Zakopane through Buforowy Wierch. After a while we go to the chapel dedicated to The Rosary Mother of God. Behind the chapel we can see a view of West Tatras. Then me pass the upper railway station ?Szymoszkowa?. We go down following the yellow signs.

After a while we go to the forest and after a few minutes we come across ?Kasprowy? hotel. When we leave the forest we go through the lower edge of the path. We come to Klimek Bachleda street, and turn left and we are at ?Gladkie? housing estate. Near the bridge there is a shrine in Zakopane style. Opposite the bridge there is Polna street, through which we can get to ?Szumna? villa. A little bit upper, on the opposite side of the road we pass ?Odrodzenie? sanatorium. We go to Powstanow Slaskich street.

On the right side we can get to ?Kasprowy? hotel. Near the bus station we can see a path coming down. We go through the bridge on Cicha Woda and we go to Koscieliska street. The last part of our trip is a walk to the centre of Zakopane. A little bit farther we pass ?Cicha? villa which is embellished with ornaments. Farther there are two Gasienicow- Bednarzow cottages, and Janiki house.

When we come to the unbecoming tenement houses we can observe on the left side the Trinity figure. We stand in front of ?Koliba? villa. We go to the coffee bar ?U Wnuka?. We pass the exit of Kaszelewskiego street and com to the house for orphans. And here we are in front of an old church and historic cemetery. Coming from the church to the cemetery we pass a stony shrine. When we visit a church and cemetery we are coming back to the House of Tourist ( Dom Turysty).
